If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device. Here is a video of how the F series JB4 map switching works. Harnesses that don't have a white connector, or that have an old 3 port expansion connector, will definitely need to be checked with a multimeter. If you do not know what map you are on (assuming you have the USB cable), plug in to your laptop and use the JB4 interface software to figure out exactly what map you are on, just to be sure. We don't have notes on when we started orienting them in the current proper configuration but we think it was around 2010. "The G5 plugs in to the same JB4 harness, although those using older harnesses may need to swap around wires. Below will explain how to check if you'll need to do anything. Newer JB4's (1-2years old, give or take) are a direct plug and play for the basic G5 board. It's really going to depend how old your JB4 is. If you do get the G5 board, be aware that you might have to do wire swapping also. Depending what you're boosting, you might even have the older 18 ohm board if the previous owner didn't update the resistor to the more current 15 ohm upgrade. The auto tune will notice the downpipes and up the boost so you'll definitely be able to feel it and see it on the boost gauge. There will be a power increase with each map you increase to. However if the only change after doing the DP's is a faster spool and change in sound, then for me, it wouldn't be worth it. I don't need/want much more, but if for around $400 I can free up the exhaust restrictions and gain a little bit of easy power, then I feel it would be worth it. The JB4's power increase is pretty amazing by itself. I guess my "goal" is to squeeze out as much power as I can while still keeping it reliable and safe. Are the claims of an increase of 30hp (with certain maps) just not enough to feel? So I notice you didn't mention any perception of an increase in power. I think downpipes are totally worth if for sound and quick spool. All mods are only "worth it" if there's a certain goal your trying to reach.
